Explanation:

a) When an object covers equal distances in equal intervals of time it is said to be in uniform motion. Eg- Earth's revolution.

b) When the speed of an object variates time to time i.e. covers unequal distances in equal intervals of time. Eg- A car in a jammed road.

Uniform speed : When same distance is covered by an object in same interval of time, then it is said to be traveling with uniform speed.

Ex - If the speed of a car is 10 m/s, it means that the car covers 10 meters in one second. The speed is constant in every second.

Variable Speed : When unequal distance is covered by an object in same interval of time, then it is said to be traveling with variable or non-uniform speed.

Ex - An object covering first 5 sec with 25 m/s speed and next 5 sec with 20 m/s speed.
