arteries :

  • arteries have a thick elastic walls
  • arteries do not have any valves
  • arteries transport oxygenated blood to all over the body. except, pulmonary arteries transport deoxygenated blood to the lungs from the heart

veins :

  • veins have a thin elastic walls
  • veins have valves because in veins the blood pressure is low.
  • veins bring back deoxygenated blood from all over the body. except, pulmonary veins brings the blood back to the heart from lungs.
