3. What makes glass or water transparent (what is the scientific explanation for this). Do you
think it would be scientifically possible for a man to become invisible, or transparent. (Keep in
mind that writers of science fiction have often turned out to be prophetic in their imagination!)

ANSWER:-

  • The scientific reason that makes glass and water transparent are:-
  1. Glass atoms do not absorb almost all of the light and the majority of the photon is passed through the glass. Hence, making the glass a transparent object.
  2. Water is formulated of hydrogen and oxygen. Both these elements are gases in nature which are invisible in the state. Hence it makes water invisible.

I don't think that it would be scientifically possible for a man to become invisible, or transparent even though many writers of science fiction have often turned out to be predictive in their imagination. This is because in reality light is reliable for everything that the human eye can see, even the human body. We see human bodies as when light falls on them, bounces off and reaches our eyes and human bodies are made up of matter which can absorb all the light. Hence, man cannot become invisible, or transparent.
