The male reproductive organ of the flower is the stamen. It consists of anther and filament. The anther is attached to the flower by the filament. The anther stores the pollen grains required for reproduction.

Carpels are the female sexual organ of the flower and consists of three parts, style, stigma and ovary. It houses the egg cell.

The pollen grains are released from the anther and are carried to the surface of the stigma through various pollinating agents. The pollen grains land on stigma, germinate and travel down the style and reach the ovary, where it fertilises the egg, thus forming the embryo.
