Step-by-step explanation:

a) when the object is pulled up with velocity 2m/s, the system is in translation equilibrium,

therefore the total force acting upwards=total force acting downward

T=mg=50N

b) when the system is pulled up with acceleration a=2m/s²

T= F+mg=5(2) +5(10)

=60N

Answer:

a. velocity of 2 ms-1 ans 5*9.8=49.0 N

b. acceleration of 2 ms-2 = 5*2 N + 5*9.8 = 59.0 N
