As we are in a state of modernisation and technological development, healthcare facilities have developed too. There is an increased number of doctors who are well trained. Also, advanced medical equipment is made available in the remotest of areas. So, this has reduced the number of deaths per year due to diseases or injury, thus there has been a general decline in the death rates throughout the world.

Since deaths are reducing, but the birth rate is constant the population increases. Increased population means more people will reproduce, so even more population. Thus, a reduced death rate has led to an exponential rise in the world population.
