The Poem MILK FOR THE CAT is about a cat that the poet apparently came across.
Quite evidently the poet is not amused with the antics of the Cat.
The Cat comes at the exact time when the tea is brought at 5 in the evening.
She is pretending to be there just for sitting but actually she wants the milk that she is looking at intently.
The poet simply does not want the cat there and wants it to go.
