Answer:

A. Useful and harmful bacteria.

Useful bacteria:

Good bacteria or beneficial bacteria are usually referred to as probiotics and are similar to the bacteria found in the human body. Probiotics are known to be beneficial to human health and in treating certain medical conditions.

  • Lactobacillus. In the body, lactobacillus bacteria are normally found in the digestive, urinary, and genital systems.
  • Bifidobacteria. Bifidobacteria make up most of the “good” bacteria living in the gut.
  • Streptococcus thermophilus.
  • Saccharomyces boulardii.

Harmful bacteria:

Harmful bacteria may reproduce in your body and release toxins that can damage your body’s tissues and make you feel ill. Harmful bacteria are called pathogenic bacteria because they cause disease and illnesses like strep throat, staph infections, cholera, tuberculosis, and food poisoning.

  • Campylobacter.
  • Clostridium perfringens.
  • E. coli.
  • Listeria.
  • Norovirus.
  • Salmonella.

B. Five Kingdom system

System of assembling organisms into groups or sets on the basis of likenesses and variances is called classification. It simplifies the study of a wide variety of organisms in a very systematic manner.

R.H. Whittaker proposed the five-kingdom classification in 1969. This classification was based upon certain characters like mode of nutrition, thallus organization, cell structure, phylogenetic relationships and reproduction.  This form of kingdom classification includes five kingdoms Monera, Protista, Fungi, Plantae and Animalia.

C. Useful Fungi

Humans use fungi for many purposes, including as food or in the preparation of food. Humans also use fungi for pest control. In addition, fungi can be used to produce citric acid, antibiotics, and human hormones. Fungi are model research organisms as well.

  • Some useful fungi are mushrooms and Penicillium.
  • Antibiotics are prepared from penicillium to act against bacterial infections. One of the best antibiotics produced from fungi was penicillin, which saved many people.
  • Mushrooms act like anti-oxidants and rich in Vitamin D.
