3/x-1 + 1/x-3 = 4/x-2​

 \frac{3}{x  + 1}  +  \frac{1}{x - 3}   =  \frac{4}{x - 2}

 \frac{3(x - 3) + x + 1}{(x + 1)(x - 3)}  =  \frac{4}{x - 2}

 \frac{3x - 9 + x + 1}{ {x}^{2} - 3x + x - 3 }  =  \frac{4}{x - 2}

 \frac{4x - 8}{ {x}^{2} - 2x - 3 }  =   \frac{4}{x - 2}

4 {x}^{2}  - 8x - 8x + 16 = 4 {x}^{2} - 8x - 12

-8x=-12-16

-8x=-28

x=3.5

 \frac{3x - 9 + x - 1}{x(x - 3) - 1(x - 3)}  =  \frac{4}{x - 2}    \\

 \frac{4x - 10}{ {x}^{2} - 3x - x + 3 }  =  \frac{4}{x - 2}  \\

 \frac{4x - 10}{ {x}^{2}  - 4x + 3 }  =   \frac{4}{x - 2}  \\

(4x - 10)(x - 2) =  {x}^{2}  - 4x + 3(4) \\

4 {x}^{2}  - 8x - 10x + 20 =  {x}^{2}  - 4x + 12 \\ 3 {x}^{2}  - 18x + 20 =  - 4x + 12 \\ 3 {x}^{2}  - 14x + 8 = 0
