Hey there !!

We have ,.

3 ( x + 1) = 12 + 4 ( x - 1)

=> 3x + 3 = 12 + 4 x - 4

=> 3x - 4x = 12 - 4 - 3

=> -x = 12 - 7 .... (i)

=> -x = 5

=> x = - 5

VERIFICATION \:  =  >

Putting X = -5 in equation (i)

-(-5) = 12 - 7

=> 5 = 5

LHS = RHS

Hope this would help you !!
