Solve the equation :-

 \bf 3 \: (x + 1) = 6

Removing the brackets,

 \bf 3x + 3 = 6

Transposing 3 from LHS to RHS, changing its sign,

 \bf 3x = 6 - 3

On simplifying,

 \bf 3x = 3

Transposing 3 from LHS to RHS, changing its sign,

 \bf x =  \dfrac{3}{3}

Dividing 3 by 3,

 \bf x = 1.

Verification :-

To check our answer, we just have to put 1 in place of x and see whether LHS = RHS or not.

Putting 1 in place of x, we get :-

 \bf 3 \: (1 + 1) = 6

 \bf 3 + 3 = 6

 \bf 6 = 6.

Since LHS = RHS,

Hence verified! ✔️✔️
