Given : 3(x+1)=9

To find : Value of 'x'.

Solution :

Firstly, Open the brackets of the L.H.S to simplify the given equation

3( x + 1 ) = 9

3x + 3 = 9

Taking +3 to the R.H.S ,

3x = 9 - 3

3x = 6

Dividing both the sides by 3, we get :

x = 2

Thus, The value of x is 2.
