3(x - 12) = 8 \\ 3x - 36 = 8 \\ 3x = 8 + 36 \\ 3x = 44 \\ x =  \frac{44}{3}  \\

3x - 36 = 8

3x = 8 + 36

3x = 44

x =  \frac{44}{3}

Procedure :-

  • When we look at the question we see that there is a bracket given. In that bracket it's written x-12.
  • So before that bracket there is 3 given to us. So of there is a bracket after any variable or constant that means we have to multiple it with the variable or constant given inside the braket.
  • After multiplying it we get the solution as 3x-36 = 8. After that we will transpos 36 to the RHS and will change the sign accordingly
  • After that when we will get the value of RHS we will find the value of x by making it in fraction. If it gets cancelled cancle it or not then leave it in fraction.
