As per the data give in the above question.

It is given expression is 3(x+2)+5x-7

We have to simplify the expression and find the value when x =2.

Thus, we have to calculate the distance of 1 cm,

Simplifying the given expression we get,

3(x+2)+5x-7\\3x+6+5x-7\\3x+5x+6-7\\8x-1

When we add two number with sign (+) and (-) we do subtraction and given the sign of highest value.

Putting the value of x as 2 we get,

8(2)-1\\16-1\\15

Therefore the value after substituting x =2 is 15.

The simplify expression is 8x-1
