-3(x+2)=9

-3x + (-6)=9

-3x - 6=9

-3x=9 + 6

-3x= 15

x=15/-3

x= -15/3

x= -5

Verification:-

let us put the value of x in the above equation:-

-3(-5+2)=9

-3(-3)=9

9=9
