Answer:

x=3,

y=5

Step-by-step explanation:

3/x+3-2/y-3=-1/2----------------(1)

9/x+3+1/y-3=2 ------------------------(2).

Let 1/x+3=a and 1/ y-3=b then eqn(1) become

3a-2b=-1/2

6a-4b=-1----------------------(3)

eqn (2)

9a+b=2

36a+4b=8________________(4)

--------------------------------------------------------------

add (3) and (4)

42a=7

a=7/42=1/6

hence 1/x+3=1/6

x+3=6

x=3

from(1)

3/3+3-2/y-3=-1/2

1/2-2/y-3=-1/2

-2/y-3=-2/2

1/y-3=1/2

y-3=2

y=5

hence

x=3,

y==5
