3 \times  \frac{x}{4}  + 2 \times (4x + 7) = 2x + 29 \\  \\  \frac{3x}{4}  + 8x + 14 = 2x  +  29 \\  \\  \frac{3x}{4}  + 8x - 2x = 29 - 14 \\  \\  \frac{3x}{4}  + 6x = 15 \\  \\  \frac{3x + 24x}{4}  = 15 \\  \\ 27x = 15 \times 4 \\  \\ 27x = 60 \\  \\ x =  \frac{60}{27}  \\  \\ x =  \frac{20}{9}

(3x/4)+8x+14-2x=29
(3x+32x+56-8x)/4 =29
27x+56= 116
27x=116-56
27x=60
x=60/27
x=20/9
