Answer:

Hloo mate!!!

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

3x + 5y = 9 ---- (1)

5x + 3y = 7 ----(2)

To find:

x + y

Solution:

Multiply the equation (1) with 5,

(1)×5 => 15 x + 25y = 45

Multiply the equation (2) with 3,

(2) ×3 => 15x + 9y = 21

Subtract equation (1) and (2)

15x +25y =45

15x + 9y = 21 (-)

25y -9y = 45 -21

16 y = 24

y =3/2

Multiply the equation (1) with 3,

(1) ×3 => 9x + 15y =27

Multiply the equation (2) with 5,

(2)×5 => 25x + 15y = 35

Subtract equation (1) and (2)

9x +15y =27

25x +15y = 35 (-)

9x -25x = 27 -35

-16 x = -8

x = 8 /16

x = 1/2

x + y = 1/2 + 3/2

= 4/2

x + y = 2

The answer of x +y is 2
