3 years ago a man was twice the age of his son.2 years hence his age will be 4 times more than the present age of the son.Find there present ages.

so let son's present age be x
father's age be y

now , 3 years ago ..
2(x-3 )= y-3
2x-6=y-3
2x-y= 3 .....(1)

2 years ago ..
4(x-2) = y-2
4x-8=y-2
4x-y= 6 ...(2)
solving 1 & 2 equation ..
ohk so now solve for values of x
