A Day at the Animal Shelter

Being an animal lover, I had the opportunity to visit Mahatma Gandhi Animal Care Home. I was very surprised to see the way this shelter took great care of animals. It was such as a wonderful place. A true safe haven for lost, abused, unwanted, and injured animals. The also had kind, knowledgeable, and attentive, staff members and cruelty investigators, for animals. In addition they had amenities such as a pre-release spay-and-neuter programme, pre-adoption screening and follow-up programmes, and a comprehensive humane education programme.
The staff is supplemented by many active volunteers. The animals are also provided with top veterinary care, well-equipped medical room, sick wards as well as rooms for isolating newcomers. There was also large open spaces, filled with greenery where animals could play and exercise, as well as spacious indoor/outdoor housing. It gave these animals so much of freedom and happiness. This was also evident in the animals healthy body and mind.
Such organisations and initiatives are offering animals the second chance to survive, happiness and fulfillment. Much of the generosity of animal shelters is achieved without publicity. Despite the contrary the work done is intense and severely substantial. These kind of shelter work to rescue the neglected animals, and not to win honors. They deserve more than our appreciation, however.
