3. You are given two substances X and Y. X is a mixture of iron powder and

sulphur. Y is the powered iron sulphide. What changes, if any, will be

observed in ‘X’ and ‘Y’ in each of the following cases:

a) A magnet is moved over ‘X’ and ‘Y’separately

b) ‘X’ and ‘Y’ are treated with carbon disulphide separately.

c) ‘X’ and ‘Y’ are treated with dilute. HCl separately.

State the reason, further different in the behaviour of ‘X’ and ‘Y’​
