(A+B)/2 = 18

A+B = 36

Three years later, today, A and B both are older by 3 years each. Sum of their ages has increased by 6Now A+B = 36+6 = 42

when C joins them

(A+B+C)/3 = 22

A+B+C = 66

Substituting A+B = 42

42+C = 66

C = 66–42 = 24
