Solution :

  • Height of cylinder = 30 × 3 = 90cm

(1) total surface area of cylindrical solid :

As we know that :

  • TSA of cylindrical solid = 2πr(h + r)

where , r is 14cm , h is 90cm ,

⟾ 2πr(h + r)

⟾ 2 × 22/7 × 14(90 + 14)

⟾ 44 × 2 × 104

⟾ 9152 cm²

Hence ,Total surface area of cylindrical solid is 9152cm²

(2) Volume of cylindrical so formed :

As we know that :

  • volme of cylindrical so formed = πr²h

where, r is 14cm and h is 90 cm

⟾ πr²h

⟾ 22/7 x 14² × 90

⟾ 22/7 × 14 × 14 × 90

⟾ 22 × 28 × 90

⟾ 55440 cm³

Hence, Volme of cylinder so formed is 55440 cm³
