Height of the cylinder formed (h) = 30 x 3 = 90 cm

Radius of the base of the cylinder formed (r) = 14 cm

Total surface area of the cylinder = 2πr(r + h)

= 2 x 22/7 x 14(14 + 90)

= 2 x 22/7 x 14 x 104 = 9152 cm2

Single Circular plate has a radius of 14cm

and 30 plates having each of thickness 3cm,so the total thickness is (30)(3)=90cm

it means the cylinder formed has radius 14cm and height 90cm.

so now, total surface of the solid or cylinder=2πr(r+h)

=2(22\7)(14)(14+90)

=9,152cm sq.

therefore, total surface area of the solid formed is 9,152cm sq.
