height of the cylinder formed = 3×30 = 90 cm
radius = 14 cm
TSA = 2πrh + 2πr²
        = 2π×14×90 + 2π×(14)²
        =7920 + 1232 = 9152 cm²
Volume = πr²h = π×(14)²×90 = 55440 cm³

Answer:

Total surface area of cylinder = 9152cm^{2}

volume of the cylinder = 55440 cm^{3}

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that radius of the circular plate r = 14 cm

              thickness of the circular plate = 3 cm

with above measurements 30 plates are placed one above the other to form a cylinder

then the height of the cylinder h = 3 × 30 cm = 90 cm

total surface area of Cylinder  = 2\pi r(r+h)

                                                  = 2 \frac{22}{7} × 14 × ( 14+90)

                                                  = 2 × 22× 2 × 104 = 9152 cm^{2}

volume of the cylinder = \pi r^{2} h  = 22/7 × 14 ×14 ×90

                                                  = 22 ×2 ×14 ×90

                                                  = 55440 cm^{3}
