There are several meanings of trojan horse in different circumstances.
Its meaning changes when the context of the speech changes.

LITERAL MEANING :- (HISTORICAL CONTEXT)

The Trojan Horse is considered as a imaginary creature.
The introduction of the Trojan Horse dates back to the TROJAN WAR.

The story is regarding the city of Troy and The Greek Army.
The army of Greece defeated the city of Troy. The city of Troy was exceptionally well managed and defended.
But,
Once a war started between the city and the Greek Army. This war named as The Great Trojan War. This war ended with the victory of Greek Army's win.

The army won by betraying the enemy that is the city of Troy.

A wooden Horse was constructed which sheltered the Brave Greek Army Men inside it so that no one can see it.
Later on it was brought inside the city of Troy as a symbol of victory.

During night, The men from the Horse crept out and opened the doors for the Greek Army.
Ultimately the Greek Army entered the city and turned it into rubble ending the TROJAN WAR with a victory.

The horse was named as the TROJAN HORSE. It was a sign of complete betrayal and hatred.
