Let, the number be x
30%of x is 30x/100 = 0.3x
25%of x is 25x/100 = 0.25x
Given,30% of a number exceeds 25% of the number by 27
0.3x = 0.25x + 27
0.3x-0.25x =27
3x/10 - 25x/100 = 27
30x-25x/100 = 27
5x/100 = 27
1x/20 = 27
1x = 27 ×20
x =540

Answer:

\huge\boxed{540 is  your answer}

Step-by-step explanation:

Let, the number be x

30%of x is 30x/100 = 0.3x

25%of x is 25x/100 = 0.25x

Given,30% of a number exceeds 25% of the number by 27

0.3x = 0.25x + 27

0.3x-0.25x =27

3x/10 - 25x/100 = 27

30x-25x/100 = 27

5x/100 = 27

1x/20 = 27

1x = 27 ×20

x =540
