- Payment is Rs 25 per hour for the first 8 hours worked.
- Payment is 20% higher (per hour) for any number of hours worked more than 8.

On a particular day, Deepika worked for 10 hours. What amount should she be paid for that particular day?

Overtime pay is calculated:

Hourly pay rate x 1.5 x overtime hours worked.

Hourly pay rate=₹25

For 8hrs=25

20%<8hrs

So, 25x8+20/100

40

So, 25+40 x 1.5 x 10

Therefore: The amount paid for her on the particular date is ₹415
