are above 40 years old. If the total population of Rewari is 32000, then what can be the maximum number of
people in the village who are 40 years old?

Let the total population of Rewari be t. Then

population of women=t×(30/100)=0.3t and

population of men=0.7t

population of women above 40=0.3t×0.45 and

population of men above 40=0.7t×0.6

So the population above 40=(0.3×0.45+0.7×0.6)t

=(0.135+0.42)×32000

=0.555×32000
