x-y=2

multiplying 1. with 2

2x-2y=4

adding 1. and the other equation

2x-2y+3x+2y=4+16

5x=20

x=20

20 ÷5

x=4

Hope it helps you

Answer:

we should multiply first equation by 3 it becomes

3x+2y=16

-5y= -10
