30. The Sun and the star Alpha Centauri shine with about the same brightness, yet the Sun appears to us
to be several hundred times brighter than Alpha Centauri. What is the most likely explanation for this?
(1) Alpha Centauri is a larger star than the Sun.
(2) The Sun generates energy through the process of fusion.
(3) The Sun is much closer to Earth than Alpha Centauri.
(4) Light from Alpha Centauri is blocked by the Moon.

Basically imagine two flaslights in a huge field.

One is kept 2 feet away from you and the other is kept 200 feet away from you, they might be the same brightness but one which is far away appears way less bright.
