Now, Percentage of sugar=amount of sugar/amount of solution
let x be the amount of sugar present in the given solution.
40/100=x/300
(4*300)/10=x
120 gram =x.
50% percent of sugar solution =50/100=0.5
let a be the amount of sugar to be added.
0.5=(120+a)/(300+a)
150+(a/2)=120+a
a-(a/2)=30
(a/2)=30
a= amount of sugar should be added to make it 50 percent sugar solution = 60 gram .
Hope this will help you.
