Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru was the first prime minister of India, popularly known as' chacha nehru' due to his lovingly towards children.His birthday is celebrated as 'Children day' every year.He belongs to a wealthy and good family.His mother's name was swaroop rani and his Father's name was Motilal Nehru who was a lawyer by profession.

He had completed his study from harrow and college and Trinity College from London.He completed his law degree from Cambridge University.

Work :

Nehru was deeply inspired and influenced by mahatma gandhi.He joined the Congress party in 1912.He support the Mahatma Gandhi in simon commission and salt movement.He got injured in simon commission movement.He had gone jail for 6 months and number of he visited the jail is 9 times.After independence in 1947,There is voting for future prime minister in which sardar Vallabhbhai Patel and acharya Kripalani got the maximum votes but they withdrew their names by respect Mahatma Gandhi and pandit Nehru made the first prime minister of India.He remained as pm till his death on 27 may,1964.
