Solution :-

Given ,

  • Work done by the machine = 3000 J
  • Force acted on the machine = 500N

We need to find ,

• Distance covered = ?

Finding distance using ,

♦ Work = Force × Distance

By substituting the values of work & distance we have ,

⇒ W = F × S

⇒ 3000 = 500 × S

⇒ 3000 = 500S

⇒ S = 3000 ÷ 500

[ ∵ 500 transposed from RHS to LHS ]

⇒ S = 30 ÷ 5

S = 6

Hence , distance travelled by the machine = 6m

Answer:

✧ Given :-

  • 3000 J of work is done by a machine by applying a force of 500 N.

To Find :-

  • What is the distance travelled by the machine.

✧ Formula Used :-

\boxed{\bold{\large{Work\: =\: Force\: ×\: Distance}}}

Solution :-

Given :-

  • Work done = 3000 J
  • Force = 500 N

According to the question by using the formula we get,

3000 = 500 × S

3000 = 5000S

S = \sf\dfrac{\cancel{3000}}{\cancel{500}}

S =6

\therefore Distance travelled by the machine is \large{\red{\bold{\underline{6m}}}}
