3000 students were sitting in a lecture room in such a manner that there were as many students in the row as there were rows in the lecture room. If 84 students were in excess, then How many students were there in each row of the lecture room?

Suppose the number of students in each row of the lecture room = z

That's why, number of rows = z

And total students =

 {z}^{2}

As per question,

z {}^{2} = 2916 (3000-84)

z = 54
