Here we will follow BODMAS rule

(-31) = [(-30) + (-1)]

☆ lets open the square brackets

(-31 ) = (-30) + (-1)

-31 = -30 - 1

Here ( - ) ( - ) = +

(But sign of greater term)

-31 = -31

When - 31 will move on the other side it will be in + 31

-31 + 31

= -1
