It's so simple.

For finding standard form of any no. u should first take out the HCF of the numerator and denominator. Then,if the HCF is x then divide both numerator and denominator by x. The answer u will get is the standard form of the given fraction. Also remember that if the denominator is in negative sign then multiply -1 on both numerator and denominator so that the denominator become positive.

So answer for this question is:

31/-47 = 31/-47×-1/-1

= -31/47
