31. A car travels 240 km in 16 liters of petrol . how many liters of petrol is required to cover 1200 km.​

Answer:

I like to check how many litres per 100km my car is getting after nearly every fuel stop.

To do this I make the following calculation.

Number of litres devided by number of 100kms.

16 / 2.4 = 6.66666667 litres/100km

Note. 240 kms is 2.4 hundred kilometres and 1500kms is 15 hundred kms

Now just multiply 6.66666667 by 15.

You need 100 litres to travel 1500kms

Remember though that road and driving conditions can affect the outcome. If traffic is bad or their is a strong headwind it can affect these results.
