31. A student wants to project the image of a candle flame on a screen 24 cm in front of a mirror by
keeping the flame at a distance of 6 cm from its pole.
(i) Suggest the type of mirror he should use.
(ü) Find the linear magnification of the image produced.
(iii) How far is the image from its object?
(iv) Draw a ray diagram to show the image formation in this case.

(i)  concave mirror

(ii)  m= -v/u

     m= -(-24)/-6

     m= -4

(iii)  distance between object and image= distance of image from mirror -              distance of object from mirror

                            =24 - 6

                            = 18cm
