31. Construct an isosceles triangle equal in area to a rectangle whose perpendicular sides are 5 cm
and 4 cm.​

Answer:

1-) Make a rectangle whose 1 pair of parallel sides are 2 cm and diagonal is 5 cm.

2-) As we know the diagonal divides rectangle into 2 equal triangles.

3-) The both triangles formed will be right triangles of equal area.

4-) Now join both the right triangles, the triangle formed will be isosceles triangle whose base is 4 cm and height will 5 cm.(base=sum of opposite parallel sides of rectangle if 2 cm each)
