P(x) = 3x² - p(x + 1) P(2) = 0 12 - 3p = 0 so, p = 4 px² - qx + 9 = 0 has equal roots. D = 0 q² - 36p = 0 q² - 144 = 0 so, q² = 144 so, q = ± 12
