Given :- In Fig. 3. check whether the given pairs of triangles are congruent. If yes, mention the criteria for congruence and write the congruence statement.

Solution :-

from image , we have :-

in ∆KLM and ∆RQP

→ ∠KLM = ∠RQP (given).

→ ∠LKM = ∠QRP (given).

Therefore,

→ ∆KLM ~ ∆RQP (By AA similarity).

we can conclude that, third angle is also equal. (By angle sum property.)

Now, we also have,

→ KM = RP .

As we know ,

  • If two pairs of angles of two triangles are equal in measurement, and a pair of corresponding non included sides are equal in length, then the triangles are congruent. ( Similar to ASA. )

Hence,

∆KLM ≅ ∆RQP .
