31. Name any five air pollutants? Also mention the harmful effects of each pollutant?

Some pollutants and their effects are:-

1.Sulphur di-oxide : High amount of SO 2 in air causes respiratory disorders , headache, vomiting, shrinking of heart , which may cause death.

2. Ammonia : It causes swelling on upper part of respiratory tract.

3. Hydrogen Sulphide : They causes eye-irritation, coughing , sneezing and drowsiness , etc.

4. Carbon Monoxide : It readily binds the haemoglobin so decreasing it's oxygen carrying capacity leading leading to hypoxia in body.

5. Hydrogen Synaide : It effects on nerve cells which causes throat problems. Imperfection of vision and headache , etc.
