a) after 7 years
b) 5 years back​

Take Sheila's age to be x and Manisha's age as 2x  since Sheila is half her age, Manisha is twice her age or 2x

Therefore their ages:

a)  Sheila: x + 7

    Manisha: 2x + 7

b)  Sheila:  x - 5

    Manisha: 2x - 5
