x/2+2y/3=-1      and        x-y/3=3

:-      x/2+2y/3=-1          -(1)

      x-y/3=3                 -(2)

From (1), we get :-

(3x+4y)/6 =-1

3x+4y=-6           -(3)

From (2), we get :-

(3x-y)/3=3

3x-y=9               -(4)

Subtract (4) from (3)

3x+4y=-6

3x - y = 9

Use value of y in (1)

x/2+{2×(-3)}/3=-1

x/2-6/3=-1
