the two other circles externally. Radius of the circle
with centre A = 7 cm, with centre B = 14 cm, with
centre C = 7 cm and with centre D = 14 cm. ABCD
represents a square. Find the area of shaded region.

Radius of the circle with centre A=7cm, with centre B=14cm, with centre C= 7cm, and with centre D = 14 cm

To find = The area of shaded region.

Solution-

- Side of square = AB

- It is given that each circle touches the other two circles externally.

- Radius of 1st circle with cente A + radius of 2nd circle with centre B

...( as it is given that the ABCD represents the square.)

= 7 + 14 = 21cm

- Area of the square

= side * side

= (21) * (21)

= 144 cm^2

- *So the area of shaded region*
