Answer:

0.3y+5=0.7y-3

=0.3y-0.7y=-3-5

=(-0.4y)= -8

=0.4y=8

=y=8/0.4

=y=20

therefore y = 20(option c)

= 0.3y + 5 = 0.7y - 3\\= 0.3y - 0.7y = (-3) - 5\\= -0.4y = -8\\= 0.4y = 8\\= y = \frac{8}{0.4}\\= y = 20

Since value of y is 20, correct option is c) 20.
