31. When four resistance of equal magnitude R are connected in series and subjected to

potential V and if the same resistances are connected in parallel to same voltage V .Then

find the ratio of electric power consumed to first case to second case .​

Rparallel = 4R²/4R = 1R

POWER = V²/R

Since, voltage is same, we remove it from formula.

Thus,

Pseries/Pparallel = Rparallel/Rseries

=1R/4R

=1/4

Thus, the ratio will be - 1:4
