32) Height of the wall= 20m

distance between the wall and the foot theladder=15m

Let the length of the ladder be equal to the length of the hypotenuse of a right angled triangle.

According to Pythagoras Theorem,

Hypotenuse² = Height² + Base²

= 20² + 15²

= 400+ 225

= 625m²

Hypotenuse = square root( 625)

= 25 m

Therefore length of ladder is 25m.

33) Hypotenuse = 26cm

One of the length(x) = 10cm

Let the other side be y

According to Pythagoras Theorem,

Hypotenuse² = x² + y²

26² = 10² + y²

676 = 100 + y²

y² = 676–100

y² = 576

y = 24cm

Therefore length of the other side is 24cm.
