To find,

arithmetic mean

Solution,

Mean = sum of the numbers/number of numbers

= 106/10

= 10.6

Arranging the data in the Frequency distribution table we get :-

Total ------------ ⅀Fi = 30 -----⅀Fi•Xi = 430

So,

→ Arithmetic Mean = ⅀Fi•Xi / ⅀Fi

→ Arithmetic Mean = 430/30

→ Arithmetic Mean = 43/3

→ Arithmetic Mean ≈ 14.33 (Ans.)

Hence, the required arithmetic mean is equal to 14.33 .
